Most Powerful Supercomputer of World

Chinese Tianhe-1A system at the National Supercomputer Center in Tianjin, having performance level of 2.57 petaflop/s (quadrillions of calculations per second) attain the position of most powerful supercomputer of the world


China is accelerating its move into high performance computing. It is the number two country after USA leaving behind Japan, France, Germany and the UK. It has 42 systems on the TOP 500 Supercomputer list. In past different countries has been ranked as no 1 in supercomputer which are listed below.

Google is offering free Chrome Notebooks

To test its Chrome operating system Google has started a pilot project. In this pilot project chrome powered netbooks will be distributet  among the participants.Each participant in the Pilot program will receive a Cr-48 Chrome notebook; which he use regularly and send detailed feedback to google.


This Pilot program is open to individuals, businesses, schools, non-profits and developers based in the United States. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Google will review the requests that come in and contract the selected applicants.

Chrome notebooks are built and optimized for the web, where user already spends most of his computing time. So user gets a faster, simpler and more secure experience without all the headaches of ordinary computers.

The Cr-48 is the test notebook Google designed for the Pilot program. It's the first of its kind. It's ready when you are, booting in about 10 seconds and resuming from sleep instantly. There’s built-in Wi-Fi and 3G, so you can stay connected everywhere, and a webcam for video chat. The vibrant 12-inch LCD display, full-size keyboard and oversized touchpad let you enjoy the web comfortably. And at just 3.8 pounds with over eight hours of active usage and a week of standby time, it’s easy to take along for the ride. What did Google leave out? Spinning disks, caps-lock key, function keys, and lap burns. The Cr-48 is available exclusively to participants in the Pilot program.
